Mine was a "Dalek World" annual, the joy in opening up the present has always remained with me ,even to this day.

Remember getting Subbuteo in about 1990, set it up christmas day morning on the dining table. Matches were postponed when my mum told us we had to pack up to set the table for christmas lunch.

I remember (must av been about 8/9) getting a Table Football as the 'main' present one year. (After opening the 'Shoot' annual and the smaller crap and scoffing the bountys out the selection stocking!).
All the mates were round till Easter and we set up a table football league. Happy days.

Yeh, we used to wind our mum up while she was cooking the dinner and tape it all. Then the old man would come in from work and start shouting and hollering while we was just pissing ourselves cos we knew the tape was rolling. (C60/C90, haha).

Probably my ammaco speedway king bmx, though I was more than happy enough opening up my Lego every year and having it all made up before 5.30am every year.

Was amazed when I went to Copenhagen a couple of years ago and saw the Lego stores they have everywhere there.

Would have wet myself as a kid seeing them.

I loved the Dinky toys I got when I was a kid. I had the SHADO 2 and the SHADO UFO interceptor. I found a firm online and got them restored. Then I started buying original Dinky toys off ebay and before I knew it was spunking serious money on fucking toys, it was doing my head in. I had to stop.

I also got a tape recorder one year, cutting edge technology in 1973, me an my brother would connect the speakers up and hide them in the porch, then shout at people with the microphone from the behind front room curtains as they walked past.

people would be crossing the road, walking round in circles looking down the road drains, we'd be rolling round the floor laughing. Even my old man thought it was brilliant until one of the neighbours knocked on the door... He then had to pretend to give us a rollicking....happy days

Loved getting Star Wars toys as a kid but one thing I got one year was a robotic arm thing called an Armatron. Spent hours picking things up with it. Bigtrak? was also a good toy at the time

A tape recorder with a microphone as a little kid. Taped bits of the TV and listened to them in bed on Christmas night.....magic memeories

Tin can alley was pretty spectacular until I took it round my nans on boxing day and my cousin broke it. I laughed when he got divorced 20 years later

Many years ago for my younger brother I once pulled down an old jigsaw puzzle from above his wardrobe and wrapped it up and threw it under the tree. For days leading up he would sit there shaking it and moaning that he was too old for jigsaws. Finally when Christmas Day arrived he unwrapped the jigsaw and looked at me and said "I've already got this fucking one".
